Terms of Service

Welcome to VilleKart. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VilleKart mobile application and website (the "Service") operated by VilleKart ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use VilleKart. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. For placing orders involving alcohol or tobacco (where applicable), you must be 18 years or older as required by Indian law.
2. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@villekart.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Orders and Delivery
- Orders are placed with local shop partners. VilleKart acts as a platform connecting customers with shops and delivery partners.
- Product availability, pricing, and descriptions are maintained by shop owners. VilleKart is not responsible for errors in shop listings.
- Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on distance, traffic, and shop preparation time.
- VilleKart is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (weather, strikes, etc.).
- You must provide a correct and accessible delivery address. Failed deliveries due to incorrect address may be charged.
4. Pricing and Payments
- Prices displayed are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- We accept payment via UPI (scan & pay) and Cash on Delivery (COD).
- A delivery fee may be charged based on distance and order value.
- Prices may change without prior notice. The price at the time of order placement applies.
- VilleKart reserves the right to cancel orders if payment cannot be confirmed.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- Orders can be cancelled before the shop accepts them. Once accepted, cancellations may not be possible.
- Refunds for prepaid orders are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
- If an item is out of stock after order placement, we will notify you and refund the item amount.
- Damaged or incorrect items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence to support@villekart.com.
- COD orders that are refused at delivery without valid reason may result in account restrictions.
6. Subscriptions
- Subscription deliveries (daily milk, etc.) are based on a schedule you set in the app.
- You can pause or cancel subscriptions anytime from the app with 24 hours notice.
- Subscription amounts are charged on a prepaid or weekly basis as selected.
7. Rewards Program
- Reward points are earned on eligible orders and can be redeemed for discounts.
- Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
- VilleKart reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the rewards program at any time.
- Points expire after 12 months of account inactivity.
8. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Indian law.
- Place fraudulent, duplicate, or fake orders.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or exploit the Service.
- Post false reviews or manipulate shop ratings.
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or threaten any person.
- Create multiple accounts to abuse referral programs or promotions.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on VilleKart — including logos, designs, text, and code — is the property of VilleKart or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VilleKart shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India. We encourage you to contact us first at support@villekart.com to resolve any issue before resorting to legal action.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
